DealerLends (“DealerLends”, “we”, “us”) provides a service that matches drivers in the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario with a dealership likely to approve their auto financing. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or submitting an application, you agree to this policy.
Information you provide. When you apply or use our tools, you may give us your name, phone number, email, city, and details about your financial situation (such as income, employment, down payment, trade-in, credit situation, and prior bankruptcy or consumer proposal). You provide this voluntarily so we can match you appropriately.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit, and the page that referred you, using cookies and similar technologies.
We do not collect your Social Insurance Number or your banking passwords, and we do not perform a hard credit inquiry. Submitting your profile does not affect your credit score.
We share your application details with the one dealership and/or lender we match you with, so they can work on your financing. We may also share information with service providers who help us operate (such as hosting, communications, and analytics providers) under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information to marketers or data brokers.
When you apply, you consent to be contacted by SMS and/or automated calls regarding your inquiry. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent (which may limit our ability to match you). To make a request, contact us using the details below. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA.
We retain your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Our service is intended for adults of legal age to enter a financing agreement. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
